Chickens On The Run

Quick Poultry Update:  Our chickens continue to smell up the house nicely.

There are people out there who claim
these odorous, messy feather-bags are such great pets because they're smart.  But they are incredibly stupid when it comes to eating!  Rather than each bird pick a station and stay at it, they feel the need to make sure their neighbor's food isn't any better than their own, requiring a great amount of scuffling and rearranging.  In their desperation to eat, no one actually gets to eat.

I've placed their water dish on an even higher block to prevent them from pooping and kicking their bedding into it as much.  It's helped, but only a little.

These babies had better start laying eggs soon, because fried chicken is sounding better and better.
