There Goes My Resolution To Be More Sympathetic
May I just start by pointing out that Bee was FINE yesterday? I've been battling flu-like symptoms since Christmas, but Bee was fine.
BUT he had a tough night, with some sort of sore throat appearing that caused him to toss and turn all night (I finally had to move to the couch so I could get a little sleep).
AND this morning, when he trudged grudgingly downstairs, he coughed (for the first and only time) really deeply and really hard.
SO he felt it was appropriate to immediately freak out and proclaim that he MUST have bronchitis or pneumonia or something debilitating that would require immediate emergency hospitalization.
So I laughed at him.
Hard.
Like, for several minutes.
And, yes: he is genuinely sick, currently doped up on Alka-Seltzer P.M. and moaning away in bed.
And, yes: I feel bad for him and will feel even worse if it turns out to be something serious . . .
. . . but, come on: must the "stronger sex" always jump to the worst possible conclusion?
